Job Description



AECOM is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to be based in our Boston, MA office and work on the structural design of buildings and structures for a variety of clients.

The Senior Structural Engineer will be responsible for the following items: 

  • Serve as a Senior technical resource and may serve as technical advisor for team
  • Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise
  • Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others
  • Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables
  • Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects
  • Uses expertise in all steps of completing the discipline component of PS&E packages
  • Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings
  • Prepares technical specification sections
  • Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements

Qualifications



Minimum Requirements :

  • BS in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering or related discipline plus six (6) years of related experience in structural design of buildings and structures or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education
  • Must have ETABS, SAP, SAFE & AutoCAD, experience to qualify for this position
  • PE License in Civil/Structural engineering

Preferred

Qualifications

:
  • Experienced in structural analysis modeling and design using finite element analysis method
  • Specific software experience in RAM Structural, and, TEDDS, Mathcad, SpecsIntact, spColumn, spBeam, spWall, Enercalc
  • Microstation & Revit experience are highly desirable
  • Masters in Structural Engineering
  • Ten (10) years experience preferred
