Performs electrical, mechanical, plumbing and refrigeration installation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting and repair work. Job Responsibilities and Requirements: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Performs inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all refrigerators and ice machines. Complete projects on a timely basis and within budget parameters. Maintains current and accurate records of all maintenance inspections and repairs in computerized maintenance management system and/or on appropriate forms. Ensures work areas, equipment, and supplies are kept clean, orderly and safe. Participates in processes that support continuous compliance with Joint Commission standards. Communicates and works with clinical and support staff regarding maintenance requirements, potential impacts to operations, and coordination of activities. Operates all mechanical equipment in the boiler room area including the emergency generator and cooling tower. Installs and repairs electrical and plumbing equipment/systems as required. Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience EXPERIENCE No experience required PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Constant standing and walking. Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs. Frequent reaching, gripping and keyboard use/data entry. Frequent use of vision for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more). Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc. Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, crawling, kneeling, sitting, squatting, twisting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs. Occasional use of vision to judge distances and spatial relationships and to identify and distinguish colors. Rare use of smell to detect/recognize odors. Rare driving.
