BFS - Built from Scratch is a social equity-based cannabis organization based in Chicago, and we are a new hospitality centered dispensary to Logan Square. Offering a curated menu,concierge-levelservice, and elevated experiences to a diverse community of cannabis enthusiastsand newcomers alike, inspiring authentic connections, exploration, fun and impact.
The Role: The Canncierge is a critical team member at our dispensary and is responsible for providing memorable customer consultations and ensuring operational excellence. The Canncierge is also responsible for assisting with roles including but not limited to: checking in customers, cash handling, dispensary cleanliness and presentation and inventory control.
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Greet customers with a smile and positive attitude.
- Give effective consultations with customers to help them through their cannabis journey.
- Build lasting relationships with each customer to promote repeat dispensary visits.
- Partner with dispensary management and staff to create a positive work culture and dispensary environment that is dynamic and fast-paced.
- Advise customers on various cannabis forms, consumption methods and cannabis science in order to support them to find the product(s) that are best suited for them.
- Continue your own on-going cannabis and compliance education and ensure you accumulate the required hours of annual training per State regulations.
- Provide support to dispensary managers and Canncierge team members as needed.
- Ensure product inventory accuracy and uphold all compliance regulations as required by local and State law.
- Stock, merchandise, replenish displays and help to keep a clean and orderly dispensary.
- Complete transactions using our Point of Sale System and ensure the state monitored inventory is accurately accounted for.
- Assist in all areas of the dispensary including: check in, greeting customers, consultations, register, and vault.
- Perform unspecified duties on an as needed basis.
Travel: - Local travel may be required for this role.
Qualifications: - High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of retail or hospitality experience.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and demanding dispensary environment.
- Passion to continuously educate oneself on the ever changing and exciting cannabis industry.
- Driven to providing an elevated customer experience consistently
Additional Eligibility Qualifications: - Minimum of 21 years of age*
- Possess a valid driver's license or State ID
- Bilingual a plus.
- Must pass all required background checks.
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry.
- Ability to work at least 8 hours a day and rotating shifts; including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 30 pounds. This job may also include walking or standing for extended periods of time, stooping, bending over and/or crouching.
Physical and Mental Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate and/or prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 30lbs. Specific hearing abilities required by this job include hearing in the normal audio range with or without correction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus.
