JOB DESCRIPTION: Mechanical Engineer

Packsize, founded in 2002 and headquartered in Salt Lake City, is the world’s leading provider of packaging systems. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join the R&D Hardware Team in Salt Lake City. We are looking for someone who is excited about machine design. You will collaborate with engineers and management to create reliable, on-demand packaging systems. We want you to be creative, carry out solid engineering, take the initiative, and collaborate effectively.
What you’ll bring:
BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Experience in CAD such as SolidWorks or similar
3+ years of experience in mechanical design
What you’ll do:
Design machined and sheet metal parts
Create large assembly CAD models
Develop machinery with complex motion
Build and test mechanical systems
Document and present designs
A few other things:
Role is 80-100% onsite, with up to 10% travel as needed
Candidates in the Greater Salt Lake City, Utah area are preferred
Physical work (using machine shop tools, turning wrenches etc…) is sometimes necessary to fabricate prototypes and build machines
