Representative Welder Responsibilities:

· Welds with MIG and TIG equipment.

· Cuts and preps parts for welding using cold saw and grinders.

· Ensures correct materials are being used by utilizing Bill of Materials.

· Utilizes tumble debur machine to debur parts.

· Uses and maintains welding fixtures.

· Trains beginning welders.

· Performs preventive and periodic maintenance on all welding department equipment.

· Representative Machinist Responsibilities:

· Sets up and operates Bridgeport and other milling machines.

· Drills and taps according to routers and drawings.

· Operates lathes.

· Deburs parts.

· Assembles machined parts.

· Maintains drills, taps, tapping heads, and milling cutters.

· Maintains fixtures and setup tools.

· Sets up and operates belt sander.

· Sets up and operates foot shear.

· Assembles barn doors, and other products in FAB 055

· Performs preventive and periodic maintenance on all machine shop equipment as well as FAB 055, FAB 070, and FAB080.

· General Responsibilities:

· Perform all tasks (with helpers) in work centers FAB 045 (welding), FAB 050 (machine shop), FAB 055 (assembly), FAB 070 (cut & shear), FAB 080 (sanding)

· Maintains expected productivity output levels and completes assignments as scheduled.

· Utilizes Dispatch List to set priorities.

· Performs first piece quality check to verify piece meets manufacturing specifications.

· Ensures product quality meets standards by frequently checking work.

· Inform manager of any non-compliance to the schedule.

· Assists in completing custom fabrication jobs.

· Communicates identifiable problems to management when problems arise.

· Completes proper paperwork on routers for timings, parts completed, and scrap.

· Abides by safety procedures, work practice controls and OSHA guidelines.

· Wear personal protective equipment when required.

· Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

· Ensures after task is completed, floor is swept, and tools are returned to designated area.

· Organizes work area so that another person can locate information easily.

· Trains other welders

· Responsible for ensuring preventive and periodic maintenance is completed and recorded.

· Reviews and requests parts replenishments so no raw material stockouts occur.

Machinery knowledge required:

· Welding processes including MIG and TIG welding.

· Cutting metal with cold saw.

· Milling machines.

· Tapping head.

· Lathes.

· Belt sander.

· Fabrication hand tools such as drills, taps, grinders, hand saws.

Additional Responsibilities:

· Other duties as assigned.

· Completes special projects and requests in a timely and positive fashion.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Able to work independently and as part of a team.

· Flexible and able to adapt to change.

· Able to lift to 50 pounds.

· Problem solving and creative thinking skills.

· Knowledge of electro/mechanical assembly.

· Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication.

· Able to interpret mechanical drawings and sketches.

· Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with and maintain machinery.

· Good shop math skills.

· Able to use inspection and measurement tools including dial caliper and micrometer.

Education and Experience:

· Welding certification

· 2-4 years fabrication shop experience
