As a Visual Merchandiser Designer/Project Manager with one our luxury beauty clients, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the execution of visual merchandising initiatives. Working within a dynamic and creative environment, you will be responsible for managing communication, timelines, and processes to ensure seamless execution. Partnering directly with the Director of Visual Merchandising, you will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver outstanding visual experiences that align with the brand's identity. This role has a project management focus, taking design elements and bringing them to life in-store. With a design background you will be able to interpret planograms, update the design plans and translate to the specific in-store needs. You will conduct site visits and partner with retailers and in-store teams to bring the plans to life. Tools to be savvy in include Adobe and Sketch-Up, Excel (where the bulk of the tracking and work will take place). This role is a hybrid opportunity with several days a week onsite, site visits and some time spent working remotely.

Requirements

  • Project manage communication and track timelines with external vendors and internal cross-functional teams.
  • Support the development of visual merchandising guidelines for all retail partners.
  • Manage communications and requests from the field, ensuring timely fulfillment.
  • Update merchandising guides, checklists, floor plans, and schematics for retail channels.
  • Maintain and organize sourced visual merchandising elements inventory, placing orders as needed.
  • Sketch and design new visual merchandising concepts for events/hallmark spaces.
  • Assist in building preliminary mockups of new concept design models and storyboards as needed.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to ensure on-time delivery of visual merchandising-related creative assets.
  • Ensure in-store execution aligns with brand standards for NYC flagship stores on a monthly basis.
  • Support Director’s Sales training & education through ongoing field training.
  • Maintain oversight of visual merchandising budget and invoices.

This role requires a strong problem-solving mindset, coupled with effective project management and communication skills, to ensure successful execution of visual merchandising initiatives tailored to diverse retail environments and stakeholder needs.

Experience:

  • Strong technical, communication, and visual merchandising background.
  • Results-oriented and action-driven, with a proactive approach to initiative, ownership, and accountability.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal Candidates Should Possess:

  • 2-4 years of visual merchandising experience, with preference given to those with specialty and department store retailer experience.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Visual Design, Merchandising, Fine Arts, or Interior Design.
  • Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, SketchUp, InDesign, Excel, and Microsoft Office/PowerPoint.

Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this role is $85,000 - $100,000 annually. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience, and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
