Talent Healthcare Staffing Inc is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Job Description & Requirements

JOB DETAILS:

• Ratios: 1:6-7
• Shift: NIGHT 3x12-Hour 36 or 48 hours. If 48 THEN NO OT BILLED UNTIL AFTER 48. Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks+ up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the unit through the holidays!
• RTO: 7 days MAX;
• Float Requirement: YES REQUIRED
• Weekend Requirement: 5-6 weekend shifts (equates to every other weekend)
• Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.
• RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.

REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:

• Minimum Years of Experience: 2
• Traveler Experience: NOT REQUIRED
• Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes
• Skills: Telemetry AND PCU/DOU/IMC/StepdowN experience. Interpretation of dysrhythmias and remote monitoring required. Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, and Sheath Removal experience required. Accessing ports, Blood Product Administration, central Line/care management, PICC line management, Cardiac drip-titrate Diltiazem and Amiodarone, Post cardiac cath experience
• Certs: ACLS

PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:

• NIH, Charge experience

PATIENT DIAGNOSES:

• Congestive Heart Failure; Arrhythmias; Post cardiac Cath

SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS:

• Unit monitors cardiac patients. Cardiac Drips (Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Dopamine, etc). Sheaths Pulls, TR Bands, Femstop

UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication):

• Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR

SCHEDULING TYPE:

• Self

UNIT ORIENTATION:

• 24 hours

SCRUBS:

• Navy
