TECHNICAL MOTION DESIGNER

You will support College Football within EA Sports. EA SPORTS is one of the leading sports entertainment brands in the world, with top-selling videogame franchises, award-winning interactive technology, fan programs, and cross-platform digital experiences. EA SPORTS creates connected experiences that ignite the emotion of sports through industry-leading sports video games.
What you will do:
You will concept, create and implement Motion Design pieces in the UI framework.
You will collaborate with a team of UI technical designers, artists, UX designers and Software Engineers to develop the user interface.
You will deliver against the expectations of the ui technical design lead.
You will champion best practices for UI architecture with a goal of organization, reusability and with the thought of developing for a live product (easily updatable).
You will advocate for user experience, product consistency, and design excellence.
You will work with the UI team (Artist, Engineers, Designers) to solve problems, refine workflows, and polish the UI to create an outstanding user experience, from concept to ship.
You will use both proprietary software and third-party tech to implement the visual design of the UI / HUD within the game.
Qualifications:
2+ years of UI technical design and implementation experience
Expert knowledge of Motion Design and animation principles
Expert knowledge of scripting languages such as Java, ActionScript, C#, Swift, and HAXE to build complex user interfaces
Good understanding of UX methodology, and Design theory.
Experience developing projects from concept to completion
A portfolio of work that showcases relevant work that contains well thought out process and excellent craft execution
BS or BA degree (or equivalent experience) in Human-Computer Interaction, UX/UI/Design Diploma or Degree, or a related area
You will report to the Lead UI Technical Designer
BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES
* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
$96,400 - $133,900 CAN Annually
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees.
