Responsible for technical and maintenance oversight of shipboard, island and shore side security systems and equipment. Support DCL Security, Risk Management, and Legal investigations, where technical details are required.
Coordinate and lead all aspects of repair and service support for DCL security system assets, including but not limited to:
Inspections and emergency services for:
CCTV Cameras
CCTV Servers
CCTV Workstations
CCTV Management System
Security X-Ray Machines
Security Test and Detection Equipment
Secure Entry Systems
Marine Safety System Interface (Ship Approved Fire Detection& Alarm Systems)
Technology Network Infrastructure
Coordination for equipment requiring manufacturer or 3rd party support such as:
Remote trouble shooting support.
On site service needs
Equipment repair needs requiring vessels to offload.
Vendors/manufacturer follow up for all service and repair reports and invoicing.
Coordinate ongoing maintenance needs for DCL security systems such as:
Planning (preventative and long term)
Equipment inventory control
Safety/Regulatory
Operational Budgets
Evaluate reports to ensure that preventative maintenance is performed.
Evaluate historical maintenance information and correct preventative maintenance accordingly.
Partner with shipboard Automation Engineer, to upkeep the security technical elements of the DCL Maintenance and Purchase (AMOS) Database, including but not limited to:
Function/component updates for all new/replaced equipment.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance jobs and timelines on serviceable equipment.
Verify that any technical issues have been resolved and track any trending issues.
Shipboard Video Surveillance and AMOS audits as required.
Partner with shipboard Automation Engineer and Engineering Technology Manager to ensure critical spares are stocked on board.
Updates from dry docks, which include general sustainment and refurbished venues/spaces, front and back of house.
DCL Distribution Center (warehouse) partnership for any security equipment offload questions, including managing the distribution or storage of critical spares.
SMS responsibility to uphold the general safety management responsibilities in areas under their control.
See that all aspects of the Security Technical Operations, are in compliance with the regulations of the relevant marine authorities, including Code of Federal Regulation CVSSA, DOD/USCG, Lloyd’s Register (Ship National Administration Recognized Organization), PCI, IMO Conventions, SOLAS, ISPS (International Ship & Port Security Code), WDW Risk Management, WDW Legal, and DCL/WDW Security.
5 years of proven experience concentrating on technology networked video surveillance systems.
Marine vessel experience related to security experience is required, Cruise Line experience preferable.
Strong Project Management Skills.
Experience with cruise vessel security protocols, with a basic understanding of investigations.
Experience working with CCTV video management systems.
Knowledge and understanding of video surveillance technology networking infrastructure, equipment, and communications.
Must be proficient in video surveillance safety protocols as it relates to the protection of stored and exported data.
Must have strong communication and administrative skills for support initiatives, documentation, and follow up via Microsoft office elements and company specific software applications.
Support travel will be required on an as needed basis to the fleet wherever the ship will be globally located at the time of need from a day visit, up to full sailings.
Travel time will vary based on ship needs and could be approximately 25 to 35% of the requirements. It should also be expected that longer periods would be required when the ship is in dry dock.
Ability to work in restricted access spaces such as electrical lockers and low and high height areas.
Being able to read and understand AutoCAD drawings.
Security Management Software systems (i.e., Milestone, Genetec)
Cruise line experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in the field of Security Systems Engineering (IT)
