Kratos is seeking a Technical Accounting Senior Supervisor to join the Corporate Shared Services Accounting team at our San Diego location. This position is onsite with the potential for a hybrid remote work schedule.

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
The Corporate Shared Services Technical Accounting Senior Supervisor oversees and participates in the preparation, support and completion of accurate financial statements. Oversees and assists in managing the preparation of public financial reports filed with the SEC. Prepares accounting position memos in accordance with GAAP for complex contractual transactions, including revenue recognition, leases, non-monetary exchange, acquisitions, etc., assists in stock administration, managing the equity based accounting and processing related transactions, prepares and/or reviews (as applicable) revenue recognition questionnaires based on details of the contractual scope of work and related terms and conditions and works directly with our internal and external auditors to support the audits.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
•Manage and assist with the timely preparation, support and completion of accurate financial statements and related notes and disclosures.
•Oversee and assist in managing the preparation of all financial reports filed with the SEC.
•Manage and assist in month end closing and financial reporting processes (account analysis, account reconciliations), review and approve equity based compensation transactions.
•Develop and implement policies and procedures for the corporate finance and accounting functions; continually monitor for improvements and necessary changes.
•Provide formal technical GAAP guidance and training to Business Unit Controllers, including the preparation of technical accounting position memorandums.
•Stay current on Financial Accounting standards, provide training and updates to Corporate and Business Units Accounting Teams.
•Take lead on implementing the SEC's New Climate Disclosure Rules and any additional new SEC reporting requirements.
•Work with the Company's internal and external auditors, be one of the key contacts and facilitators for audit and financial reporting matters.
•Participate in various ad-hoc projects and analysis as requested to support business decisions or other projects.

•Strong GAAP knowledge including recent revenue recognition and lease accounting standards required.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office suite products (above average Excel skills required).
•Excellent written and oral communication skills required.

•Demonstrated financial management skills, sound judgment, and high ethical standards required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
•Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
•CPA required.
•Minimum 5 years of public accounting required.
•Sox experience required.
•Experience overseeing preparation and audit of US GAAP compliant financial statements, including consolidations and intercompany transactions required.
•2 years supervisory/management experience required.
•Preferred experience working in $250 million plus organizations.
•Preferred experience with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) and CAS (Cost Accounting Standards).Industry experience in a fast-paced environment.

Annual Salary Range: $96K-$125K.
