Primary Responsibilities: - Interpret and analyze authorizations, claims, revenue and membership data
- Lead projects to completion by contributing to database creation, statistical modeling and financial reports
- Create and maintain automated processes
- Research and investigate key business problems through quantitative analyses of utilization and healthcare costs data
- Provides data in support of financial and membership utilization trend analyses
- Provides data large extracts/files to internal / external customers
- Reviews the work of others
- Develops innovative approaches
- Sought out as expert

Required Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience translating business requests into presentable and actionable reports
- 3+ years of experience compiling complex SQL queries, ETL workflows, and data modeling
- 3+ years of healthcare experience handling claims and medical codes
- 1+ years of shell scripting KSH/Bash/Bat/PowerShell
- 3+ proficiency using Microsoft Excel, including: PowerPivot, formulas, charts, graphics, etc.
- 2+ years of experience in a highly collaborative role with proven skills in developing a consensus from diverse opinions in a highly matrix environment
Preferred Qualifications: - Solid knowledge of Medicaid population and those who serve them
- Pyhon / Pandas / Jupyter Notebook experience
- Snowflake experience
- Experienced in influencing outcomes of others who are not direct reports
- Demonstrated curiosity, adaptability, flexibility,and ability to work with changing direction and priorities

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
