We are looking for SLPA's for our Vinton and Burnt Chimney locations. The SLPA is responsible for the provision of diagnostic and therapeutic services for individuals of all ages presenting with concerns about communication delays or disorders.

Education Level, Skill & Experience
Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology,
CFYs considered
Must possess knowledge of a wide array of diagnostic speech-language protocols and clinical interventions for children and adults
Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally
Excellent organizational skills
Job Duties
Evaluates patient's speech and language abilities and level of function
Develops treatment plans, including short and long‐term goals and methods to achieve identified goals
Communicating the patient's speech therapy program to the family and/or guardian
Properly and accurately provide written documentation including evaluations, daily notes, progress summaries and discharge summaries
Perform related duties and responsibilities as required

ACME Therapies Co. is a multidisciplinary team of PT’s OT's and SLP's. Our mission is to implement interventions that are family centered and have a profound effect on the life of a child. Our staff is dedicated to each child we meet, assisting each child in realizing his or her highest potential.
We are seeking a positive, flexible individual who works well among a multidisciplinary team to fill an immediate opening for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist. A minimum of 1-2 years experience working in the pediatric population is preferred. Responsibilities include but are not limited to one-on-one treatment, co-treatments, assessments, feeding therapy, group therapy, report writing, daily notes, tracking progress, communicating with other professionals and family members.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Evaluate and treat children with various speech, language, fluency, and feeding difficulties.
Work collaboratively with Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists and other professionals.
Complete evaluation reports, generate therapy goals, collect data and complete daily treatment notes, summarize progress and effectiveness of treatment.
Communicate strategies and suggestions for carryover of skills with families and caregivers.
Consult with ABA therapists, teachers and other members of the child's team.
Participate in monthly department meetings, marketing opportunities, etc.
Adhere to work schedule and manage caseload.
Other duties assigned by immediate supervisor within scope of practice.
Adhere to deadlines for documentation.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Speech Language Pathology
1-2 years pediatric experience

The position involves working with children and their families at our state of the art clinic, at local schools and/or in their natural environment (daycare/ home).
