Starkey is adding a Hearing Aid Shell Designer to join our team on 1st shift. Based at the Eden Prairie, MN Global Headquarters, the Shell Designer is responsible for the successful modeling of the custom hearing aid shell. Responsibilities include verification of the scanned impression to the hearing aid design, the ability to complete the hearing aid modeling process, understand 3 shape modeling software, and follow the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities - Ensure Custom Hearing Aids are modeled accurately according to the hearing aid design.
- Inspect design to ensure correct to the customer order form.
- Ensure scanned impressions match impressions in the box.
- Successfully complete the modeling process by following modeling standard work.
- Ensure Custom Remake Hearing Aids are modeled accurately according to customer complaint
- Evaluate remake complaint form against original modeling
- Evaluate original modeling with new impression and scan on file
- Determining which will resolve the issue, previously scanned or new impression
- Complete the modeling process ensuring correctives actions solve the issues
- Enter all information into CQ (Symptom, Diagnosis and Treatment)
- Flex into other job functions when necessary and applicable.
- Preparation of impressions
- Scanning impressions
- Order registration
- Work transferring
Results - New product fit related returns (new shell tech rate) Cycle/Review
- Remake products fit related returns (remake shell tech rate) Cycle/Review
- Modeling productivity rate (Minutes per unit) Cycle/Review
- Internal rework Cycle/Review
- Audit results Cycle/Review
Other Duties - Support Starkey Employee Corporate and/or Department Guidelines.
- Check and verify quality.
- Support corporate health and safety objectives.
- React to change productively and handle other essential duties as assigned.
Job Requirements Education - High School Diploma
- Ability to read and comprehend various instructions through CQ, deviations, and procedures
Experience: - Hearing Aid Manufacturing desired but not required.
Knowledge - Knowledge manufacturing codes.
- Basic Computer knowledge required.
Skills & Abilities - Good hand-eye coordination required.
- Good manual dexterity required.
