As a server at Next Door by Wegmans, your role is to deliver outstanding service by sharing your in-depth knowledge of our menu and beverages. By utilizing suggestive selling techniques, you’ll help guests select the perfect items to enhance their dining experience. You’ll also support overall restaurant operations by demonstrating genuine hospitality, exceptional people skills, and mastery of food and beverage service techniques. Your goal: to create a one-of-a-kind dining experience that keeps guests coming back. What will I do? Create a positive and energetic atmosphere at every table, serving guests in a courteous and attentive manner Thoroughly understand the menu and beverage offerings; utilize suggestive selling techniques to create interest and enthusiasm Study menu changes and attend beverage classes to grow food and beverage knowledge Prepare the dining room and bar for service with exceptional attention to detail; ensure all areas are clean/sanitized, organized and well-stocked Learn about special events and general restaurant operations to provide support and perform additional tasks as needed Required Qualifications 1 or more years of experience working in a multi-faceted food service facility, including restaurant, hotel, or country club Enthusiasm for and knowledge of relevant products and services This is a tipped position. Pay is the NYS minimum for tipped employees ($10.35/hr. plus $5.15/hr. tip credit when applicable) plus tips.
