Join our team of professionals at The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) , where we produce and deliver network-quality features for use on our daily live TV show, The 700 Club and other programming. This news/magazine program has the variety and pace of a morning show with in-depth reporting by our CBN staff located around the world.  Our highly creative production team produces features and segments which include breaking news, inspirational stories, and live coverage of humanitarian relief around the globe.  If you love creating and producing compelling visual elements and have a desire to impact your world, you don’t want to miss this opportunity!

We are looking for an experienced Video Editor with comprehensive editing skills to successfully contribute to the production team based in Nashville, TN.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience and qualifications :

• 5+ years’ experience at a postproduction or television facility
• Must possess comprehensive knowledge of computer editing systems, software and related equipment as well as exhibit creative concepts of editing composition with ability to learn and apply new and advanced technology quickly. Exceptional editing skills identifiable by clients and peers and measurable by visual appeal and in compliance with appropriate technical standards
• Experience with DaVinci Resolve a plus
• Ability to exercise judgment/concepts given a script or project with the willingness and ability to choose media appropriate for filling and/or for breaking News situations
• Demonstrative knowledge of NTSC and PAL digital television standards as well as necessary conversion techniques
• Must be skilled in color perception, and possess meticulous attention to visual and composition detail with ability to color correct video as necessary
• SBE Certified as a Broadcast Engineer with television endorsement preferred
• Mastered knowledge and performance in the following areas as well as applicable corresponding software:
  • digital video effects
  • videotape record machines
  • time base and signal processing equipment
  • monitoring devices and equipment
• Ability to communicate and interact well with positive interpersonal and intercultural skills
• Must exhibit excellent skills with complex audio mixing and editing techniques
• Possess competent diagnostic skills to resolve technical problems and discrepancies with both hardware and software involving digital editing processes.
• Complete confidence of efficient performance of duties under acute high pressure situations involving tight air deadlines
• Flexibility to perform varying, changing and multiple shifts, extended hours, and meet expectation of last minute work demands
