What You’ll Be Doing

• Oversees all functions of project estimating for approximately 5-10 ongoing bids at any given time
• Develops and maintains relationships with Clients and Architects to establish a level of understanding of the project scope, specification and contract
• Solicits & Tracks Subcontractor/Supplier proposals
• Manages plans, specifications, & addendums
• Thoroughly evaluates bid documents for completeness, obtains additional information from the client as required, observing all stated guidelines and deadlines
• Attends site visits and pre-bid meetings as required to assess customer needs
• Manages the development of bid proposals
• Ensures maximum subcontractor & vendor coverage
• Develops detailed scopes of work for each trade package based on bid documents
• Performs complex analysis of subcontractor estimates
• Recognizes the opportunities to value engineering designs and drawings and Identifies document conflicts and determines a strategy for bidding
• Manages all bid day activities
• Negotiates with Suppliers & Subcontractors for best pricing
• Accurately completes bid forms per provided instructions
• Meets with upper management for bid review and submission
• Assists Project Managers in contract negotiation and final buyout of the project
• Maintains in-house cost databases
• Develops and maintains vendor and subcontractor relationships and databases

Who We’re Looking For

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Construction Management or related field
• 5+ years of experience in Commercial Construction
• Strong organization, presentation, written, and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency and success in managing the document control process in the areas of construction and general project administration
• Understanding of contract documents, drawings, specifications, and product data
• Ability to work independently, as well as a member of a project team, capable of managing multiple projects at various stages of planning, design, procurement and construction
• Experience with project management is a plus
• Software experience including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Procore, Bluebeam, Prolog, Construction Management & Estimating Software

What You Can Expect

• $85,000 – $110,000 annually, based on experience
• Regular schedule of Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm
