Job Description

Position : Assistant Sample Coordinator 
20-25 hours per week

Role Summary : This contractor role will be responsible for the overall management of the Global assortment samples for all departments within the Bras & Undies teams

Responsibilities :

• Assist in hitting sample deadlines set out by the photo studio, PR, and photoshoot schedules.
• Support Manager in working closely with Functional Leads across Merchandising, Business Strategies and Marketing to enable successful execution.
• Develop basic understanding of nuances across the Aerie brands to assist manager w/ properly coordinated sample deadlines in order to support evolving Business needs.
• Work closely with Assistant Merchant for each department to understand when samples are being requested
• Check in samples and track sending/receiving details in PLM. Manage additional deliverables for sample handoffs (including SVLs and Excel charts).
• Consistently communicate updates and/or business related issues to Manager in a timely manner.
• Assist Manager in communicating impact when sample deadlines are not met.
• Recap each team on the status of the sample check in process. Responsible for giving clear information on what has been sent to the studio, photoshoot, etc. and when as well as giving clear recaps on what samples are still missing.
• General sample upkeep/organization in Pittsburgh office.
• Able to work in a hybrid environment, meaning that some work may be performed remotely but certain essential functions must be performed in-person/in-office based on the needs of the business.
• In person/in-office collaboration is required, the frequency of such in-person/in-office collaboration (e.g., portion of week, entire week) is dictated by business needs. Such collaboration includes work centralized around product development, milestone meetings, fittings, and approvals.

• Bachelor's Degree in Fashion or Art or Merchandising (or equivalent experience and education)
• Comfortable working in an hybrid environment - mainly working in office several days a week with occasional remote work from home
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to multi task and prioritize based on business objectives
• Organized and detail oriented
