Sylvan Learning: Reading Teacher - After School Program

Position Overview:

Teach after school academic reading to small groups of students in San Leandro
No additional work to take home - come in, work for a couple of hours, and leave happy

Requirements:

Spanish speaker needed
Bachelor's Degree recommended
Ability to multitask, motivate and connect with students
A passion for education
Punctuality is extremely important - must be local with reliable transportation

What you should know:

Use pre-planned lessons to teach - no need to create a curriculum
Teach students in a small group setting (8 students)
Use educational materials and methods approved by local schools (common-core aligned!)
Motivate students of all ages to excel academically and develop a love of education
Classes held Monday - Thursday right after school
This is NOT a remote position
