Job Title: Ranch Maintenance Technician

Reports To: Superintendent of Water Operations & Services

Location: New Mexico – South Ranch
OVERVIEW
A Ranch Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintenance and upkeep of the Intrepid South location, including operating wellfields, delivery pipelines, storage tanks and ponds, and pump stations.This position requires problem-solving skills, basic electrical knowledge, and familiarity for working around a variety of field equipment. 

JOB DUTIES

• Operate, troubleshoot and maintain water wells, pumps, valves, pipelines, metering, communications and controls for water delivery systems 
• Effectively carry out repairs of pipelines and other maintenance matters, and provide regular maintenance of generators 
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including, but not limited to: greasing, changing oil, looking for defects during routine service, torqueing drain plugs, etc.  
• Prepare work orders and obtain correct parts from warehouse  
• Interpret maintenance manuals parts booklets, work orders, blueprints, schematics and hydraulic/mechanical prints 
• Perform other duties as assigned 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License
• Minimum two (2) years experience heavy equipment, machinery operations, maintenance and/or welding required
• Ability to drive extensively, get in-and-out of vehicles repeatedly, and walk several miles per day required

SCHEDULE AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
9/80 schedule: Monday – Thursday, 9-hour workdays, Fridays worked, 8-hour workday, with every other Friday off. Schedule subject to change.

• Outdoors, in a non-temperature controlled environment, and subject to weather conditions
• Exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels
  Employees are required to wear safety attire and personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Standing, walking, sitting, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching or grasping 
• Must be able to sit in a vehicle and drive extensively, get in-and-out of vehicles repeatedly, and walk several miles at locations per day 
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. up to 2/3 of the time, and up to 100 lbs. under 1/3 of the time 
• Will be required to wear personal protective equipment as needed and engage in strenuous physical activity 

A pre-placement physical and hair follicle drug test will be required for anyone selected for this opportunity. Placement into the position will not be made until the results are received and cleared by Intrepid.
