Job Description
PrideStaff is working with a key client in the Roseville area to identify the right individual with Quality Control experience specific to food processing. This position is full time with the potential to be temp to hire. :
This associate would consistently complete quality assurance activities to support the production of first quality finished product. The Quality Control Associate must be able to work with a team and be comfortable directing and motivating the team while demonstrating and meeting quality standards.This position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.
This is an early morning shift, and may require overtime and has the potential to require Saturday work.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures plant cleanliness by communicating issues and overseeing corrections
- Perform quality checks including but not limited to CCP and packaging
- Monitors and verifies Production processes meet quality and food safety standards
- Monitors the compliance of all Good Manufacturing Practices for all employees
- Generate labels and print documentation
- Collect samples for microbiological testing and submission of samples for testing
- Identify quality of food safety issues and escalate as needed
- Data entry and record keeping of quality checks and food safety controls
- Thinks critically, suggests opportunities for improvement and solutions to issues
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Adhere to company's code of conduct, GMP policy and all other internal policies/procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Essential Skills and Qualities:
- Be reliable and dependable in attendance
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Self motivated individual who can work with limited directsupervision
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented atmosphere
- Basic math skills, High School Diploma or GED a plus
- Previous work experience in a food manufacturing or food service environment preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lift (up to 30 lbs), stand for extended periods of time
- Push, pull, squat, bend and reach above and below shoulder level
- Ability to complete repetitive tasks
- Able to withstand working in a noisy environment (with safety gear provided)
- Attention to detail and able to work quickly and accurately
- Be able to work flexible hours and be willing to adapt to changes in instructions and tasks
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet conditions and slippery floor. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate and employees have the option to use hearing protection. There is also limited exposure to temperatures ranging
from freezing to sub-freezing (coolers or freezers).
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $21.00 - $22.00
