Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Product Owner who will play a crucial role in our development team. Key responsibilities include gathering detailed requirements, analyzing processes, documenting workflows, assigning projects to developers, and conducting user acceptance testing. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Role and Responsibilities

To excel in this position, candidates must demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Collaborate closely with software development teams on current deliverables.
  • Engage with various stakeholders, including the executive team, to gather requirements.
  • Document detailed requirements for the development team (user stories).
  • Maintain and prioritize the team’s backlog.
  • Provide progress updates and demonstrations to stakeholders and executives.
  • Address business inquiries from the development team.
  • Attend Product Owner training and pursue certification.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with a minimum of 3 years of experience in back-end business systems (e.g., systems enhancements, testing, and analysis).
  • Proven ability to lead a scrum team using Agile methodology.
  • Experience in requirement elicitation and project documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for building relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrated experience in project delivery, managing competing priorities, and solving complex business problems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Azure DevOps, Mural).
Physical Demands

The role requires regular office duties, including sitting, standing, and walking. Candidates should be able to communicate effectively, lift light objects (up to 25 lbs), and use standard office equipment. Occasional bending, twisting, or reaching may be necessary.

Work Environment

Our office environment is quiet and temperature-controlled, with occasional noise or temperature fluctuations due to conversations or maintenance. Employees are expected to adhere to their assigned work schedules and may need to work extended hours based on project demands or customer needs.
