The impact you will have in this role:

DTCC is embarking on an exciting multi-year journey to bring new digital capabilities to our clients. The Product Owner will play a key leadership role in the Client Services organization by both contributing to this vision and translating it into deliverables for the squad that will ultimately transform key client onboarding processes and data structures. In addition, the Product Owner will lead the squad to drive key re-imagination and transformational efforts, bringing key partners together to drive consensus on how best to organize teams and deploy new processes and innovative tools that minimize manual processing risk, effectively manage data, and enhance the client experience.

Your Primary Responsibilities:
  • Translate the product vision and the roadmap into squad deliverables and release plans
  • Create and refine the backlog of user stories with the squad to provide the right level of detail at the right time to achieve definition of ready (preparation for development)
  • Establish story acceptance criteria and lead the squad's backlog by accepting or rejecting the backlog items, according to acceptance criteria during each sprint
  • Seek feedback from partners and clients and incorporate into future backlog items
  • Bring the voice of the client (external/internal) into the squad
  • Cultivate relationships with key partners to identify issues, risks, and dependencies, and maintain alignment to achieve product strategy
  • Incorporate and prioritize technical work to deliver on release objectives
  • Improve product value by evaluating implementation alternatives and considering impact of changing scope on budget and estimates
  • Attend and participate in all squad meetings (sprint and release events)
  • Mitigate risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors, and demonstrating strong ethical behavior
  • Keen client-centric stance and operational efficiency approach to bring clarity of the larger client journey vision to the squad

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 7 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent experience
  • Experience in Agile/scrum methodology desired

Talents Needed for Success:
  • Exhibit strong understanding of Agile Software Development (primarily Scrum and Kanban) principles and techniques
  • Understand and use applicable work management tools (i.e. JIRA) for decision making and collaboration
  • Drive creative and problem-solving activity with all participants and partners
  • Knowledge of financial services operations, in particular Post Trade Processing, trends and user demands
  • Complete the Product Vision and effectively translate into Product Roadmap and Backlog items to deliver the highest value

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations. Enterprise Services comprises of multiple business platforms including Client Services, Global Business Operations, Business Architecture, Data Strategy and Analytics, and Digital Services, which report into the Chief of Enterprise Services.
