Description: We are looking for a talented and meticulous Powder Coat Painter to become a part of our team. The role involves applying powder coatings to various metal components, ensuring a high-quality and durable finish that aligns with our rigorous standards. The ideal candidate will bring experience from a manufacturing setting, possess a keen eye for detail, and demonstrate a strong dedication to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, and mask metal parts to prepare them for powder coating, ensuring surfaces are free from contaminants like dirt, grease, and rust.
• Powder Coating Application: Operate and maintain electrostatic spray guns or fluidized bed systems to apply powder coatings evenly.
• Curing Process: Oversee and regulate curing ovens to ensure the correct baking temperature and duration for a smooth, durable finish.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished products for uniformity, thickness, coverage, and adherence to specifications; touch up or re-coat as necessary.
• Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of powder coating equipment, spray booths, and work areas to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and hazard-free workspace.
• Documentation: Keep detailed records of completed work, including batch numbers, colors used, and any issues encountered during the coating process.

Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in powder coating with a solid understanding of the process.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with various powder types, application methods, curing techniques, and quality standards.
• Skills: Proficient in using powder coating equipment and tools; strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct defects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Powder Coating or Industrial Painting.
• Experience with automated powder coating systems.
• Knowledge of color mixing and matching.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
