We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Plant Controller to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial, accounting, and reporting activities at the plant level. This includes budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, business analysis, and internal controls. The Plant Controller will play a critical role in strategic decision making, working closely with plant management to drive financial performance and business strategy. This position demands strong leadership skills, sound financial knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
2. Oversee the continuous improvement of Accounting and Financial Processes and the development of the team with the goal of achieving best practices and optimal output.
3. Develop and control the company’s annual operating budget to ensure that all financial targets are met and financial and statutory regulations complied with.
4. Provide financial analysis, advice, and recommendations to improve profitability and financial effectiveness.
5. Present financial reports and metrics to plant management, highlighting key trends and identifying potential improvements.
6. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards.
7. Oversee the preparation of all financial reports, including Profit and Loss Statement, Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flows, as well as the year-end financial reports.
8. Implement and monitor effective internal controls to prevent fraud and mismanagement of the company’s funds.
9. Forecast and track key operational metrics, manage preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts.
10. Coordinate, analyze, and report the financial performance to Management and Board of Directors (financial performance, projections and other special projects as required).
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An MBA would be highly desirable.
2. CPA or CMA certification is required.
3. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role in the manufacturing industry.
4. Proficient in SAP and other financial planning systems.
5. Strong understanding of Lean Accounting principles.
6. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
7. Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
8. Ability to strategize and solve problems with a strong understanding of cost accounting and manufacturing processes.
9. Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
10. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
11. Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively, and delegate.
