As part of a diverse community of faculty and staff who represent many faith systems and worldviews, Marian University seeks qualified applicants for a Part-Time Coachto promote our Catholic Franciscan mission and identity by providing exceptional service to students, faculty, and staff by acting as the primary point of contact for all communication for the Academic Commons. Providing assistance to the general operation for the following programs, baseball, men's basketball, women's basketball, men's bowling, women's bowling, competitive cheer, game day cheer, men's cross country, women's cross country, men's cycling, women's cycling, competitive dance, game day dance, football, men's golf, women's golf, women's lacrosse, men's rugby, men's soccer, women's soccer, softball, men's tennis, women's tennis, men's track and field, women's track and field, women's volleyball, and men's wrestling. This non-benefit eligible position will be required to work evening and weekends throughout the year. Reporting to the Head Coach, the Assistant Coach will help provide leadership, management, and strategic planning for the program. Primary responsibilities will include assisting the head coach in practices and games.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Actively engage the Catholic Franciscan mission and identity of Marian University by modeling the Franciscan Sponsorship Values and honoring the legacy of the founding congregation through transformative education, unity in diversity, leadership through service, integrating faith and life, and institutional policies.
- Ensure compliance withNAIArecruiting rules and regulations
- Assist with the supervision and organization of practices and games while complying with relevantNAIArules and regulations
- Maintain proper and appropriate discipline among students during athletic contests, practices and while on trips off campus
- Attend campus, conference, and national meetings as necessary
- Acts in the absence of the head coach
- Comply with policies established by federal and state laws, Marian University, Conference, andNAIApolicies and procedures
- Promote the philosophy and values of the Athletic Program and Marian University
- Other responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications: - An earned bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Prior coaching experience (high school, college, and/or studio/club)
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must display excellent customer and staff relation skills
- Knowledge of and a commitment to the mission of Marian University
