Family Law Paralegal - New Haven, CT (Hybrid)

Position: Family Law Paralegal
Location: New Haven, CT (Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Family Law Paralegal with at least 5 years of experience to join the New Haven office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law and be proficient in performing all related paralegal functions. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for a balance between in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys in all aspects of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, support, and property division
• Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, agreements, and court filings
• Conduct legal research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of family law statutes and case law
• Manage case files, organize and maintain documents, and ensure deadlines are met
• Coordinate discovery, including drafting discovery requests and responses, organizing evidence, and managing document production
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other parties involved in the case
• Assist attorneys in trial preparation

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal in family law
• Strong understanding of family law procedures and practices in Connecticut
• Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in legal research and writing
• Experience with legal software and case management tools
• Paralegal certificate preferred but not required
