The Apartment Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of residential properties, ensuring that they are managed efficiently and effectively. This position involves maintaining a positive living environment for residents while also handling administrative tasks related to property management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property management and a thorough understanding of relevant regulations.

Duties

The duties of the assistant manager at Casa Grande include but not limited to:

  • Oversee the leasing process, including marketing available units and conducting property showings
  • Prepare a maintenance request or any major repairs requiring outside vendor and deliver to the management office
  • Manage tenant relations by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and fostering a community atmosphere
  • Handle any minor repairs and maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and other legal requirements related to property management
  • Schedule, meet, and supervise vendors for on site management and preparation of vacant apartments
  • Maintain accurate records of tenant information, lease agreements, and property maintenance requests
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair activities to ensure the property is well-maintained and safe for residents
  • Keep vacant units clean and presentable during the vacancy period
  • Responsible for cleaning vacancies and washing down walls prior to painter
  • General walks of the exterior of the buildings
  • Making sure communal services are in good working order
  • Supervising trips to Home Depot with E&G Management Maintenance personnel
  • Be on call 24 hours a day 6 days a week

Skills

  • Proficiency in customer relationship management to enhance tenant satisfaction
  • Experience in real estate administration with an understanding of leasing processes
  • Ability to negotiate effectively with tenants and vendors to achieve favorable outcomes
  • Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations and compliance requirements
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and record keeping
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents, staff, and external partners.
