What You'll Do

Provides compassionate care to clients and members, ensuring the highest standard of quality under the guidance of department management and/or medical professionals.

Location: Arcadia's Home Health Department

Schedule: Full Time, Part Time, Casual, Call In

Pay Range: $17.42 - $20.75

Responsibilities

  • Answers call lights to determine clients’ needs (Day Care only).
  • Assists clients or members with activities of daily living (ADLs):
  • Bathing
  • Eating, includes set-up, serving and collecting plates
  • Feeding clients or members needing assistance
  • Dressing
  • Oral hygiene
  • Grooming as needed
  • Assistance with toileting and appropriate peri care for incontinent clients or members.
  • Assists clients or members to turn, reposition, and transfer per service plan.
  • Transports clients, or members to activities and meals.
  • Takes and records:
  • ADLs
  • Vitals
  • Intake and output of food and fluid
  • Transfers and ambulation status
  • Mood/behaviors resistance to care
  • Pain level assessment
  • Provides companion services as per service plan.
  • Observes and reports changes in condition to Licensed Staff.
  • Monitors and supervises clients, and members.
  • Adheres to work schedules and uses time and attendance system.
  • Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement and/or Quality Assurance Programs.
  • Interacts with clients and members in accordance with AFCs’ mission, core values, and guideposts.
  • Exercises caution and good safety judgment.
  • Ensures protection of clients’ and members’ rights and privacy.
  • Attends mandatory in-service programs.
  • Complies with annual employee health screening.
  • Participates in emergency drills and situations.

Exclusive Essential Functions for NA Reporting to Day Care Centers

  • Actively participates in the programs and activities of the Center.
  • Serves and collects food plates and utensils, pre-rinses for Arcadia.
  • Change bed linens, washes and folds laundry.
  • Familiar with individualized service plan of assigned clients.
  • Monitors and supervises specific clients or activities.
  • Maintains Center’s facilities and equipment.
  • Facilitates and supports client participation in planned activities.

Education/Experience

High school diploma or GED; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.

Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations

Current State of Hawaii Certified Nurse Aide certificate. Current First Aid and CPR certificate.

Computer Skills

Proficiency in using computers and software like Vision or Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to use hands, reach, talk, or hear; frequently stand, walk, sit, and taste or smell; occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push, pull; lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required.
