Summary: The Music Coordinator for the St. Anthony Catholic University Center is responsible for the coordination and execution of the music ministry for weekly Mass worship services and other celebrations.
This role involves coordinating volunteer musicians, being a liaison between choirs and Chaplain, and ensuring that music ministry activities align with the Church's mission and values.
Requirements
Position Responsibilities: - * Coordinate choirs for all weekend masses, holy days, and other parish events, ensuring all our liturgical celebrations are covered and all mass settings are coordinated based on liturgical season.
- * Serve as contact person for all the choirs at St. Anthony's
- * Work closely with volunteer musicians and choir directors to schedule rehearsals and ensure high-quality performances.
- * Ensure there is coverage for Sunday masses as well as special masses we have (Holy Week, Solemnities, All Saints, All Souls, etc.)
- * Meets with pastor every month to review and plan for the upcoming month.
- Would serve as member of liturgy committee; attend quarterly meetings.
- * Fill in for volunteer musicians as needed.
- Stay informed about liturgical music trends and best practices, incorporating new ideas and resources to enrich the center's musical offerings.
- Adhering to safety training and protocols on a daily basis, and taking precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of self, others.
- Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not lim596ited to client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information.

Minimum Qualifications: Education :
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience :
- Minimum of one to three years in an administrative/coordinator role
- Experience playing the piano or guitar and a comprehensive understanding of liturgical music
License and Credentials :
Minimum Knowledge and Skills: - Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred;
- Musically proficient;
- Proficiency in playing the piano or guitar and a comprehensive understanding of liturgical music;
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate volunteer musicians and choirs;
- Practicing catholic with a thorough understanding of Catholic liturgy and traditions;
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills;
- Experience with Computer Software, Microsoft Office Suite applications and Google Calendar;
- Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team;
- Must have good written and verbal skills;
- Must have good critical thinking and problem solving skills.
