Company Description Integrated Dermatology of NJ is one of the largest Dermatology groups. We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, kind, and hard-working Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant to join our growing practice! We specialize in general, surgical, cosmetic dermatology, and in Moh's surgery procedures. We operate in a very fast paced environment, and it is going to take someone with multitasking skills and great organization.
Job Description - Front desk includes registering and checking patients in/out, answering phones, scheduling appointments and checking insurance.
- Confirming patient's appointments, checking referrals, insurance validations
- Recording patient medical histories, vitals, test results and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality
- Preparing treatment rooms for clinical examinations and assisting practitioners with medical and surgical procedures and other patient care.
- Sterilizing and preparing instruments.
- Delivering compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
- Ensuring compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
- Scribing notes for Practitioners
- Other clerical duties may include, but are not limited to, faxing, biologic prior authorizations, patient results phone calls, lab and surgical paperwork.
Qualifications - High level of professionalism
- Attention to detail with strong ability to multitask
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of electronic medical health care record systems
- Excellent computer and phone skills
Job Type: - Full-time 4-5 days
- Ability to be flexible to cover as needed greatly appreciated.
- Experience working for a healthcare practice or hospital.
- Dermatology experience is a plus.
- Experience in MOHS assistance is a plus.
- Experience with and knowledge of EMR.
- Experience in assisting with surgical procedures.
Education: - High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
Certifications/Licenses: - Medical Assistant Certification (Required)
