Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position (1.0 FTE) with shifts scheduled from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. We welcome applicants from most states, and we can discuss specific details during the interview process.

We are currently seeking a Medical Coding Specialist II - HCC Coder to join our team. In this role, you will:
Review medical record documentation and accurately code encounters.
Collaborate closely with the Outpatient Clinical Documentation team to enhance the capture of Hierarchical Condition Categories.
Utilize Epic software in your daily tasks.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Medical Coding Education required.
An Associate's Degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred.
Work Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of progressive coding experience in multiple specialties, including HCC Risk Adjustment Coding, is required.
Licenses & Certifications:
Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), and/or Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist - Outpatient, or Certified Documentation Expert Outpatient (CDEO), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Specialist Physician-Based (CCS-P), or Certified Coding Associate (CCA) are required.
Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) is preferred.
