Job Description

Job Purpose:

As a Medical Claims Specialist, you'll play a vital role in driving revenue by managing and resolving outstanding medical claims. Your mission will be to ensure claims are processed efficiently and accurately, adhering to established protocols and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Follow up with insurance companies to secure timely and complete payments.
Investigate and submit corrected claims or appeals as needed.
Communicate with insurance companies to address and resolve payment discrepancies.
Process and document adjustments, including write-offs, transfers, and chargebacks across various platforms.
Provide clients with additional information to support collections.
Analyze insurance reimbursement receipts to ensure accuracy.
Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information by following professional standards and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Qualifications:

Prior experience in medical billing is required.
Proficient in medical billing terminology and processes.
Skilled in Microsoft Excel.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Capable of analyzing information effectively.
Excellent documentation and time management skills.
Focused on delivering quality results.
Basic math skills are essential.
