We are currently seeking a
bilingual (Spanish) Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant in the
Mount Pleasant, South Carolina area. The Loan Officer Assistant works with one or more senior mortgage loan officers. Their primary duty is to facilitate the sales and processing of mortgage loan packages within the scope of company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal law governing residential mortgage lending.
This is an exciting opportunity! The ideal candidate should be a highly motivated, self-starter looking to gain entry and prosper in the mortgage financing industry. The Candidate will start out as a sales assistant to a seasoned loan officer, with the opportunity to grow into a stand-alone or team-partner producer.
Key Duties and Responsibilities • - Assist clients with requests/questions/research.
- Provide regular updates to clients and their real estate agents. •
- Work closely with originating loan officer(s) and loan processors to verify applications for completeness, collect credit information and all necessary documentation, and follow up on underwriting conditions.
- Coordinate closings with Borrower, Seller, Title Agent/Attorney and Closing Department.
- Engage in marketing and promotional activities in support of originating loan officer(s), including social media and CRM systems.
- Engage in all activities in a manner consistent with Employee's obligations to customers and in accordance with company policies, procedures, and state and/or federal regulatory agencies.
- Remain current on changes to company policies and procedures affecting the processing of mortgage loan packages.
- Remain current on changes within the legal, regulatory, economic, competitive and technology environments which may affect real estate lending, standard loan products and underwriting guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities - Ability to multi-task: maintaining a work pace conducive to the number of loans in process, using strong organization and prioritization skills.
- Flexibility in work hours to meet deadline.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems under pressure of critical timelines.
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications such as Word and Excel.
- Ability to quickly learn new mortgage lending/processing systems related to job duties.
- Build and maintain positive relations with all construction lending team members, and co-workers in other departments.
- Superior interpersonal/phone-communication skills are a must.
Education & Experience Bilingual in English and Spanish, required
Minimum of 18 months mortgage experience, required.
Business/Finance background, preferred.
Strong math skills.
Versed in Social Media channels.
Mortgage Loan Originator License is helpful. If you do not have one, we will train & prepare you for licensing exams as well as cover licensing fees.
Compensation package PLEASE NOTE: Base salary + bonus income based on team production, plus
unlimited potential for additional commission income from own production.
