Landscape Architect
to join our team at Peregrine Solutions and work with The University of Maryland’s Facilities Management Department. As a Landscape Architect, you will play a key role in developing and managing landscape design and construction projects. You will bring campus designs to life by collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of planners, architects, engineers, and consultants.

Peregrine Solutions hires top notch, top performing, hard-working professionals. We work as Owner Representatives to provide oversight of assigned construction projects and activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Planning: Develop site analysis, master plans, grading plans, planting designs, and construction documents for campus projects.
Review landscape design and construction documents submitted by outside firms, providing project management support for projects at College Park and client institutions.
Assist in developing landscape architectural guidelines and campus standards, as well as storm water management strategies.
Technical Expertise: Provide landscape architectural guidance for campus development, vendor change orders, project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
Support quality assurance efforts by providing updates and research for the Design Criteria/Facility Standards (DC/FS).
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture.
Minimum five (5) years of experience in landscape architecture
Experience in site planning, master planning, environmental planning, and stormwater management.
Familiarity with regulatory standards, including those from the State of Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) and Department of Natural Resources (DNR).
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Revit, SketchUp, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
Preferred:
LEED Certification or similar sustainability credentials.
Experience with college, university, or institutional projects.
Strong understanding of Mid-Atlantic plant materials and site grading, drainage, and hardscape design.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong conceptual and detailed design skills, from planning concepts to project implementation.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, for collaborating with stakeholders and project teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Comprehensive understanding of landscape design standards, materials, and best practices for creating sustainable and ADA-compliant landscapes.
Expertise in environmental issues, including storm water management and bio-retention planning.
