Position: Lab Technician

Location: Garland, TX

Duration: 3-6 month, W2 contract

Description:

The extrusion display panel technician performs basic technical tests on products and samples. Primary responsibility will be preparing, filling, and shipping color panel requests. Primary responsibilities include preparing, filing, and shipping color panel requests. Other responsibilities will include analyzing materials and samples, performing basic calculations, and cleaning and maintaining the lab.

Responsibilities:

• Perform packaging and daily shipping for department, and Color Science Lab
• Pull and file production and lab retains as needed for requests.
• Pull and file stock panels needed for online panel requests.
• Perform spray application for solvent based coil coatings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Spray stock panels for inventory.
• Understand processes regarding tasks and requests.
• Perform packaging and shipment of customer samples.

Required Skills:

• Must be comfortable working in an environment with moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, chemicals, oils, and other conditions found in laboratory environments.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America (without now or in the future needing sponsorship for employment work visa and/or permanent residence status)
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of basic math skills
• Computer knowledge for basic inputting, communication, and data analysis
• Ability to learn software used in lab
• Ability to complete work in a timely manner
• Must pay attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and work with a team.
