Responsibilities:

• Support the recruitment process by creating job openings, reviewing candidates, and participating in the selection process.
• Support maintenance of an effective safety program for the company by preparing training, safety communication, updating safety programs and procedures, and supporting incident reviews.
• Complete pre-boarding and new hire setup activity in the HR Information System.
• Assist the Senior HR Generalist by coordinating and conducting new hire orientation.
• Coordinate and attend staffing events, networking events and job fairs, often in partnership with hiring managers.
• Support other areas as assigned. Responsibilities include, but are not necessarily limited to, the duties listed on this job description.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, Communication, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
• Interest in HR and safety within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Effective interpersonal skills, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate diplomacy, tact, and professionalism in all interactions with employees and management.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Microsoft Office suite experience including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability and willingness to learn and complete tasks in an HRIS (Paycom)
