We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our Design and Digital Services team. In this role, you will bring creative ideas to life, supporting marketing, communications, outreach campaigns, typography, layout, and visual storytelling. Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with project teams under the guidance of a senior designer or project manager to create graphic assets for communications and marketing campaigns, supporting both client and in-house projects (e.g., fact sheets, posters, web banners, infographics, and process diagrams)
Serve as a visual storyteller, presenting creative solutions to convey key messages based on scripts, content, or stakeholder input
Generate original ideas and designs that engage target audiences and enhance communication goals
Develop and present design concepts to clients or project teams
Manage projects from concept through completion, ensuring quality and consistency throughout
Design Microsoft Office document templates for reports, presentations, and proposals
Ensure accessibility compliance (including Section 508) and maintain consistent branding on all materials
Utilize industry and client insights to craft innovative solutions quickly and effectively
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Photography, Communications, Media, or a related field
3-5 years of experience in a creative agency, PR/marketing environment, communications/marketing firm, government consulting, or nonprofit
A strong design portfolio showcasing experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to create and format design documents, templates, and infographics
Strong understanding of typography, layout, color, and brand consistency
Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills, with meticulous attention to detail
Team player with interpersonal skills who can work collaboratively in a remote or independent setting
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex projects and meet deadlines
U.S. work authorization required; sponsorship is not available
Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. government security clearance
Preference for candidates with veteran status
Preferred Skills
Previous experience in government consulting or contracting
Familiarity with health, benefits, IT communications, or experience working with veteran/military audiences
Background in brand development and accessibility compliance
Physical & Cognitive Requirements
Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods, up to 8 hours per day
Capacity to communicate clearly and perform repetitive hand/wrist movements while working on a computer
Strong vision for detailed work
Ability to focus, complete tasks independently, and work within productivity goals
