Job Description

Food Safety and Quality Control ManagerThe Food Safety and Quality Control Manager ensures compliance to company and regulatory quality, safety and environmental policies and programs, including staff compliance to all employee manual, dress code and hygiene. Support all aspects of the Parker's Kitchen Food Service program with a specific focus on Quality and Food Safety programs. This individual provides in-field food service support and knowledge to assist in the compliance and execution of company food service programs to ensure efficient and effective food safety procedures maximizing category sales and profit margin.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsibilities:•Develop, implement, and maintain food safety policies, procedures, and protocols in compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry best practices.•Conduct regular inspections and audits of our facilities, equipment, and processes (both in delivered food and non-food products, raw materials, and finished products) to identify any potential hazards, areas for improvement.•Develop and communicate corrective and preventative actions to Director and at Store level. Ensure the completion and effectiveness of corrective actions. Keep proper documentation of non-compliance and corrective actions.•Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with local and state health departments, regulatory agencies, and other relevant authorities. Coordinate inspections, respond to inquiries, and address any compliance issues promptly and effectively.•Listen to suggestions from the staff and customer requests. Identify recurring challenges in current processes. Develop staff and customer questionnaires, reviews, work flow, needs and improvements.•Manage Quality and Food Safety Management System programs and activities, such as internal audits, staff adherence to PPE compliance, cleaning validations, and traceability exercises.•Collaborate with the training team to create and maintain procedures, forms, training materials, and other documentation.•Identifies Food Safety Opportunity Stores and partners with the kitchen team, store manager and district manager to develop and implement and action plan to correct issues.•Ensure all employees responsible for managing food have valid food safety certification.•Provide coaching and feedback to trainers, trainees, and all store team personnel.•Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies related to food safety, food production, and quality control. Make recommendations for enhancements or updates to our processes.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:•Must be enthusiastic, energetic and have a high level of energy•Must have valid driver's license and be able to go between stores without difficultyEDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTSRequired:•ServSafe or Other CFPM Certification within the first 90 days of employment•Associates in Food Science, Food Services, Nutrition, or other related degree•3 years of experience in retail or convenience store Food Service operations•At least 2 years of experience with the food safety standards•At least 2 years of experience in indirect management of team members, including assisting in the development, training and assignment of work/projects to other team members•Microsoft Office Skills requiredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS•Prolonged periods sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer•Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at timesParker's Companies is an equal opportunity employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive culture.
