EVENT OPERATIONS TEAM MEMBER - Legends Event Center Sports Facilities Management, LLC LOCATION: Bryan, TX

DEPARTMENT: OPERATIONS

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

STATUS: PART-TIME

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Event Operations Team Member will be responsible for a variety of duties dependent upon the need for the day, while providing participants, and guests an excellent experience in every aspect. This position is an active part of the conversion/changeover process before, during, and after events. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
  • Provide courteous and friendly service to all guests and staff
  • Ensure proper setup and breakdown of equipment, sound systems, scoreboards, signage, and other equipment as needed
  • Assist with coordinating tournaments and special events
  • Ensure all event details are executed as planned
  • Ensure games start on time and are scored accurately
  • Professionally resolve guest concerns and complaints and/or direct to appropriate Manager
  • Monitor all game play areas including turf and courts
  • Maintain and control trash in all areas of the venue
  • Consistently communicate issues and relevant updates to your supervisor and applicable LEC Team members
  • Assist with the coordination of all venue programming and applicable events
  • Be knowledgeable about prices, leagues, and events
  • Respond to all incidents, accidents, injuries, and altercations. Complete and file corresponding paperwork as necessary
  • Know and enforce the facility's policies, procedures, and rules
  • All other duties as assigned

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:

  • 2-4 years of experience in the Sports/Recreation field
  • Strong eye for detail and safety compliance
  • Experience operating an electric scoreboard
  • Experience in coaching or mentoring athletes or children
  • Proven success in being a quality team member
  • Experience with volleyball, baseball, softball, soccer, football, lacrosse, basketball, and/or pickleball events
  • Experience and success in customer service, leadership, and organization
  • Action-oriented personality with a 'get it done' attitude and proficiency for efficiency

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Can work with a wide variety of age groups
  • Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours) and regular attendance necessary
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Must have excellent guest service skills
  • Must be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in difficult and stressful situations
  • Must be respectful and friendly to our athletes, guests, visitors, spectators, leaders, and fellow Team Members
  • Must work well with others
  • Commitment to the safety and wellbeing of others
  • Have sports experience or a strong interest to learn

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds waist high
  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time, whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop, or bend into awkward positions while performing job functions
  • Facility has intermittent noise
  • Will be required to operate a computer
  • Must be able to walk intermittently
  • Must be able to safely operate a Utility Vehicle Sports Facilities Company
