Estimator - Planner - Requisition 29473UCLA Facilities Management, Los Angeles, CA
Under the general direction from the Director and/or Assistant Director of Facilities Management- Maintenance and Alterations, cost estimating of new construction, develop project scopes, determine the order of operations for expediency and identify the kinds and amounts of materials required. Responsible for scope clarification and assembling pricing for projects while interacting with clients, architects, and trades to ensure work adequately reflects client's needs and is executed promptly within the project budget. Participate in the Disaster Initial Response Team.
Job Requirements
- Skill in managing all administrative and technical aspects of construction and alteration projects in a campus/ scientific/ medical environment.
- Construction Management Certification or equivalent and a minimum 4 years of Estimating Experience
- Demonstrated estimating knowledge and skills. Skill to prepare, scope, sketches, mark up, and cost estimates. Ability to schedule multi craft projects using a computerized scheduling systems
- Working knowledge of all phases of repair, construction and alteration work performed by skilled trades personnel to include knowledge of methods, tools, equipment, and materials of the construction trades in general to organize work, evaluate progress, ensure craft work assignments and meet stated standards.
