Job Description
We are seeking an experienced EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) Manager to establish and manage the safety and environmental protection management system for our factory in the United States. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing relevant policies, training programs, and ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities: - Establish and maintain the factory's safety and environmental protection management system, including the development of safety, environmental protection, and occupational health regulations.
- Formulate the company's work plan for safety and environmental protection in alignment with the annual business plan, set safety management goals, and oversee the implementation and supervision of safety rectification efforts to ensure quality and completion.
- Manage, supervise, and inspect the company's safety and environmental protection practices on a daily basis, organizing related training and promotional activities.
- Lead major safety inspections, special inspection activities, and conduct weekly on-site safety inspections.
- Develop and control the budget for safety and environmental protection management in accordance with the established work plan.
- Stay updated on the latest laws and regulations related to safety and environmental protection at local and national levels, regularly revising the company's safety and environmental protection policies.
- Promote the sustainable development of the factory as per group requirements, collaborating with relevant departments to meet sustainability and safety goals.
- Facilitate communication with government agencies, conveying documents and relevant requirements from regulatory bodies.
- Undertake any additional responsibilities assigned by management.
Job Requirements: - Bachelor's degree or higher in Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in safety and environmental protection, with preferred experience in industries such as diaphragms, lithium batteries, automotive parts, or chemicals. Experience in new factory construction is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of relevant safety and environmental protection laws and regulations, as well as safety production management processes.
- Preferred qualifications include certification as a registered safety engineer or safety administrator.
- Experience working in a multinational company and the ability to navigate cultural differences is highly desirable.
