Summary of Position

The Pruning Technologist is responsible for reviewing & condensing, or pruning, EEG studies for physician review. This pruning will take place in our Houston, TX office site, with periodic remote work allowed.


Duties and Responsibilities

• Prune ambulatory EEG studies conducted on patient in preparation for physician review.

• Input patient demographics and exam details into predefined reporting templates.

• Verify EEG studies have been imported properly to the server and physician access is assigned.

• Compile list of missing information and notify appropriate personnel.

• Provide expert level knowledge of EEG pattern recognition.

• Must adhere to HIPAA regulations and AMS code of conduct.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in neurodiagnostic field with highest understanding of best practices
• R.EEGT. Certification active

• Recognized as having leadership ability & detail oriented

• Effective communication and delegation and skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards

• Ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time

Work Conditions

• Position is office setting based

• Occasional remote work will be allowed with approval

• Must demonstrate ability to perform work based on AMS standards

• Work conditions are normal for an office environment
