Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Designing, constructing, installing, testing, and maintaining highly scalable data management systems.
2. Ensuring systems meet business requirements and industry practices.
3. Collaborating with data architects, modelers, and IT team members on project goals.
4. Developing set processes for data mining, data modeling, and data production.
5. Researching opportunities for data acquisition and new uses for existing data.
6. Developing data set processes for data modeling, mining, and production.
7. Creating custom software components and analytics applications.
8. Employing a variety of languages and tools to marry systems together.
9. Recommending ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
10. Collaborating with data scientists and architects on several projects.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
3. Experience with PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and other NoSQL databases.
4. Knowledge of Stored Procedures and ability to write complex queries.
5. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Java, and/or R.
6. Proven experience in data modeling and ETL development.
7. Strong understanding of database structure principles.
8. Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements.
9. Knowledge of data cleaning, wrangling, visualization, and reporting.
10. Familiarity with data privacy and protection regulations.
11. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
12. Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
