NORCAL AMBULANCE IS HIRING FOR THE POSITION OF COURIER!

Hours:

  • FULL TIME
  • Monday-Friday: 8 am - 4:30 pm

Pay:

$18.00 PER HOUR

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for the timely movement of: 

  • Company assets
  • Supplies
  • Resources between company stations and other destinations.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Drive a company vehicle along a predetermined route to move company resources between locations. Resupply stations with equipment and inventory. Pickup and drop off internal mail, medical supplies, uniforms, expired medications, and other items as needed. Ensure the correct handling and transport of sensitive and confidential company resources.
  • Transfer items in inventory tracking systems as needed
  • Pickup items from various collection points or from requested locations
  • Ensure prompt and safe delivery of items throughout the company
  • Assist company operations through special courier requests as needed
  • Safely drive company vehicles
  • Troubleshoot basic supply chain issues
  • Utilize supply inventory software
  • Oversee inventory movement between stations to maintain stock levels
  • Lift supplies and inventory
  • Perform vehicle equipment and supply checks as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each responsibility listed above. Employee must be driver trained. Employee must be familiar with medications and controlled substance procedures, and have knowledge and skills required to handle sensitive documents, emergency medical supplies, inventory controls and storage and computer basics.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Preferred: Healthcare IT, Emergency Medicine, or Medical Supply experience

LANGUAGE ABILITY:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports, logs, correspondence and to speak effectively before groups of customers, vendors or employees

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

EQUIPMENT:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must use a variety of equipment including pallet lifts and trucks, gurney, wheelchairs, and other medical and ambulance related devices.
