About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to lead and oversee all aspects of medical staff affairs with a strong emphasis on fostering a culture of quality, patient safety, evidence-based medicine, and value-based clinical care. The successful candidate will be a strategic and operational physician executive, responsible for setting the vision and agenda for clinical outcome improvement, resource utilization, care coordination, and patient experience. This role requires a commitment to rigorous outcomes measurement, data analytics, and performance improvement processes. The CMO will also be a key member of the executive team, working to ensure the hospital's standards and processes align with the goal of reducing variation and maintaining high-quality care. Applicants for the CMO position at the company should be board-certified in a medical specialty, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a relevant medical setting, and at least 8 years of clinical practice. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in physician leadership, clinical process improvement, and quality management programs. Key responsibilities include serving as a champion for quality, safety, and high reliability, leading the development of comprehensive programs, and supporting the medical staff in governance and accountability. The CMO will also be involved in strategic planning, care management programs, and will work closely with regional, corporate, and facility leadership to ensure effective clinical integration.
