Position Summary: 

Sovah Danville is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to perform routine clinical and administrative duties in support of an assigned area or office.

• Under the supervision of a physician or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Maintains examination areas.

Minimum Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree in Medical Assistant required.
• Other Certificates from a college in Medical Assistant instead of Associate's required other Certificates instead of Associate's required.

Required Skills:

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Required  Certifications:

• A certified Medical Assistant Certificate or Registered Medical Assistant is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association required.
