Job Description

*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced medical environment. This position requires proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with various medical systems, ensuring efficient operations within our facility.

*Duties*
* Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
* Conduct patient intake, including recording vital signs and medical histories.
* Prepare patients for examinations, ensuring comfort and understanding of procedures.
* Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
* Maintain accurate patient records, including coding for insurance purposes.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in various specialties such as dermatology, internal medicine, geriatrics, and emergency medicine.
* Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
* Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills related to trauma care at a Level I Trauma Center.

*Requirements*
* Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.
* Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding practices.
* Experience in patient care within hospital settings or specialized clinics.
* Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient advocacy.
* Previous experience in emergency medicine or trauma care is a plus.
