The Solution Architect, guided by the CBS Data Office Lead and Operations Lead, will own and drive the design of processes and systems supporting data management across the firm. This role requires deep project and program lifecycle knowledge and skills, with limited supervision. This position is vital for developing and adopting data management capabilities across the firm. The role involves assembling teams, documentation, and solutions to meet the CBS Data Office’s objectives. The team currently has limited staffing, which impacts its ability to meet expanding scope and leadership needs. This role will help fill that gap by supporting ongoing solution architecture demands. Scope of the Position: This individual will: Evaluate, design, and provide options on data architecture, including systems owned by CBS Data Office and external systems involved in CBS initiatives. Manage project data related to scope, schedule, cost, resources, quality, and risk. Analyze requirements and options, considering cost and time, to generate documentation and reports for leadership. Coordinate meetings, presentations, and reviews with internal and external stakeholders. Monitor project progress, gather feedback, and adjust solutions accordingly. Understand project requirements, stakeholder needs, and scope to coordinate activities effectively. Potentially lead teams and projects under supervision of CBS DO leadership. Knowledge Required: The Solution Architect should be proficient in: Leading data architecture initiatives using appropriate tools and techniques. Data management concepts, including Data Governance, Data Quality, Master Data Management, and Metadata Management. Documenting changes, risks, assumptions, issues, and decisions. Monitoring project work and performance metrics. Establishing project deliverables through requirements gathering. Executing project plans and facilitating meetings. Experience in end-to-end data architecture across various systems. Additional Knowledge: Experience with EY CBS functions and systems, especially Markets, Risk, Finance, and Mercury. Leadership skills to challenge and collaborate with stakeholders. At least 3+ years in leadership roles related to data management capabilities. Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) is a plus. Strategic planning and translating business needs into architectural requirements. Strong analytical, leadership, relationship-building, and communication skills. Ability to work with diverse teams and understand the impact of business process changes on architecture. Key Considerations: 5-10 years in complex engineering projects; 10+ years in architecture leadership roles.
