The Solution Architect, guided by the CBS Data Office Lead and Operations Lead, will own and drive the design of processes and systems supporting data management across the global firm, executing with deep project lifecycle knowledge and skills. This critical role supports the development and adoption of data management capabilities across the firm, leading efforts in assembling teams, documentation, and solutions to meet the objectives of the CBS Data Office. The team is currently short-staffed, with only 4 on-shore and 2 off-shore resources, and there is a continuous demand for expanding scope and support. Recent team changes have shifted responsibilities, creating a gap in solution architecture support. Scope of the Position: This individual will lead system and project architecture for the CBS Data Office and will be responsible for: Evaluating, designing, and providing options on data architecture owned by CBS Data Office and external systems involved in CBS initiatives. Collecting and maintaining project data related to scope, schedule, cost, resources, quality, and risk. Analyzing requirements and options, considering cost and time, to generate documentation or reports for leadership. Coordinating meetings, presentations, and project reviews as directed by CBS Leadership. Monitoring projects, gathering feedback, and adjusting plans accordingly, understanding project scope, stakeholder demands, and objectives. Leading teams or projects as needed under supervision. Knowledge Required: Leadership in data architecture, using relevant tools and techniques. Expertise in data management concepts such as Data Governance, Data Quality, Master Data Management, Metadata Management. Documentation of project scope, risks, issues, and changes. Monitoring project performance and establishing deliverables. Executing project plans and facilitating meetings using appropriate interpersonal skills. Experience in end-to-end data architecture across systems. Additional Knowledge: Experience with EY CBS functions and systems, especially Markets, Risk, Finance, Mercury. Leadership in establishing data management capabilities, with 3+ years of relevant experience. Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture Frameworks like TOGAF, Zachman, DODAF (recommended but not required). Strong analytical, relationship-building, decision-making, and communication skills. Ability to work across cultural and geographical boundaries, with a strategic and big-picture perspective. Key Considerations: 10+ years in complex projects with architecture accountability, including 5-10 years in engineering roles.
