Responsibilities - Report directly to Group Corporate Controller
- Responsible for closing the monthly financial statement with the help from shared services team.
- Ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
- Assume primary day-to-day and overall responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all dealership accounting and finance related activities
- Provide technical accounting expertise and hands-on support to dealership staff
- Manage 2 accountants
- Collaborate with the other Controllers/Accounting Managers to ensure consistency and alignment across the organization
- Responsible for treasury functions of the dealership
- Assist with store audits and reporting.
- Coordination with tax accountant on annual tax returns
- Assist with preparation of the company's annual operating and capital budget.
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by management.
Skills/Requirements - Previous automotive experience is required.
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in finance or accounting, licensed CPA preferred but not necessary.
- 5+ years of total experience in accounting
- Proven supervisory skills with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Comfortable with operating multiple application systems
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Exceptional communication skills and high emotional intelligence
- Must be able to pass pre-hire screening that includes a background check, MVR and drug screening.
